CANSEE is excited to be a Strategic Partner for the 2019 EcoCity World Summit taking place this October 7-11 in Vancouver Convention Centre West, Vancouver BC. CANSEE will be advising on the conference program and the International EcoCity Standards, a centre-piece of this fall event.
Through workshops and plenary sessions, led by world-renowned experts, the Summit will address the way humanity builds communities and cities that are ecologically healthy, economically prosperous, and socially caring. The conference program is organized into four main tracks: Urban Design; Biophysical Conditions; SocioCultural Features; and Ecological Imperatives.
Ecocity World Summit is one of the longest-standing and globally significant forums for addressing the complex challenges facing humanity in a rapidly urbanizing world. Convened by the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), the leader in sustainability training, the Summit bring together over 1,000 thought-leaders, businesses, government officials civil society leaders, designers, planners, and academics from over 75 countries to explore solutions and opportunities to rebuild cities in balance with nature and society.
